On the eve of 4th February also globally known as the World Cancer Day, the Supreme Court of Pakistan illuminated pink in support of Pink Ribbon Pakistan.
The event was organized in commemoration of World Cancer Day, to raise awareness about all types of cancers, and stand in solidarity with the survivors, especially breast cancer as the Prevalence of breast cancer is the maximum amongst all the cancers in Pakistan i.e. 38.5%. For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the prestigious building of the Supreme Court illuminated for a cause which is most important for millions of women of Pakistan.

Pink Ribbon has announced establishment of five Breast Cancer Hospitals in all provincial capitals of Pakistan. Whereas with the support of public patronage we have already started the construction of Pakistan’s first dedicated Breast Cancer Hospital in Lahore.

A historic moment for Pakistanis - The National Mosque of Pakistan, and 3rd largest mosques in the world, Faysal Mosque turns Pink in support of Pink Ribbon.

October is internationally celebrated as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The month long campaign allows for the issue to be highlighted as a top health priority with the disease affecting many women at some point in their lives. In this month, breast cancer is recognized by survivors, family and friends of survivors or victims of the disease. A pink ribbon is worn to recognize the struggle that sufferers face when battling the cancer. People are urged to wear Pink Ribbons to honour survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and to support the progress that is being made together to defeat breast cancer.
